Mission "True Defender of Earth" COMPLETED
The mission "True Defender of Earth" was a success, although not without loss.

The alternate EDF appeared in Kyushu, and the EDF quickly scrambled to intercept. Launching a swift attack, they managed to bring down a large portion of the fleet, only to encounter stiff resistance by the main Gargantua. Simon was deployed to capture the Gargantua while the others protected his unit.
Kurtis appeared, riding in Vysaga and engaged the team, while Nanoha was separated from the group and came face-to-face with Fate Testarossa, who had come for the Jewel Seeds aboard the Gargantua that were blocking Simon's combination, and they dueled for the right to the jewel seeds.
Above, Kurtis fought and was defeated through the combined efforts of the EDF, with Shishioh Guy disengaging GaoGaiGar to finally bring him down. His attack reawakened Kurtis's spirit as the Defender of Earth, and as Carter prepared to fire a cannon that would wipe Tokyo and it's surrounding area off the map, he leapt into the barrel of the cannon and destroyed it, at the cost of his own life.
After the battle, Precia Testarossa, the mother of Fate used her magic to scoop up the Jewel Seeds. Carter escaped in the confusion.
