Deep Thought

(You find Fate in the rehearsal room for the band. In front of her are several sheets of music. She seems to be deep in thought. Soon, she releases a heavy sigh while pushing her hat down a bit to cover her eyes.)

What are we going to do without a drummer? We barely made it by without a guitarist...Will this really be the end of the Multiversals?

Really? From what I've heard about Celestial Being, you all don't take sides. Someone is fighting and you crush them with superior force. Doesn't that in the end make you tyrants?

And where have you heard this from? Taking sides and being driven by other people's opinions is easy. It's when you try to stay above those opinions to try and form an idea for yourself that you learn the truth. Have you even seen us in action before?

It doesn't matter. You told me yourself that you are a terrorist moments ago. Do you know what terrorism really is? It is the systematic use of fear. You use 'armed interventions' to create fear for your group. Thus you use terrorism under the veil of creating peace.

Just like the 'terrorists' of Area 11 trying to fight off the oppression of Britannia? Or perhaps just like the TSAB uses fear and superior firepower to get people to stand down and talk? Our tactics do not differ THAT much.

I know what terrorism is. I WAS a terrorist. I've fought under those rules, used those tactics, and targeted civilians for the sake of a god that doesn't exist. [Well you got the truth out of him.] Those days are behind me. Instead of targeting civilians, I now target people threatening them. I fight for the sake of peace. Maybe you don't see that yet, but our goal is the same. Your friend Nanoha is able to see past it, so why can't you?

And the TSAB only shows force around inter dimensional criminals! We don't throw our weight around every time we see a fight! If we did, we would have used our weaponry on Asura a long time ago! We step in when there is no other choice, to save lives! Your actions in themselves a declaration of war! Listen to us and if you don't we crush you with our Gundams!

I've done nothing of the sort. I simply said that Nanoha was able to see past the biases of the public at large and was able to become friends with me dispite my affiliation. Are you so biased that you cannot see a person in front of you right now? Or are you only able to see the Gundam Meister of Celestial Being?

You're right in that our acts of armed interventions are considered acts of war, but we will never target civilians. I'd sooner kill myself than do that again.

...I'll admit, I do not see a fault to you. But I can't bring myself to trust you now. Not because of you but your organization. They call out anyone who can be seen as being a part of war, so what is to stop them from targeting civilians who promote war? You may be against it but they might not be.

The purpose of Celestial Being is to destroy weapons of war that are being used to propagate war. Our target is the implement, not the user. Lockon, Allelujah, Miss Sumeragi, they all feel the same way. Killing people for having an opinion does not get others to disarm, it causes them to rise up in arms, as such it's counter-effective to our goal.

Moreover, I would cut down anyone claiming to be part of Celestial Being that would target civilians. Those who do so are pretenders, people who kill using our name as a mask to darken our mission.
