I don't know about that all, but her sentences give me headaches. She complains about being plagued with migraines and I figure she's probably doing it to herself with her writing style.
I liked this book, especially for the way it attacked the way the system manufactures news and photo ops, the way the disgusting system turns campaigns into a suited, one brain cell a time soap opera. Yet it also exhausted me and I think her nonfiction, especially her later nonfiction, reads like a lump of bricks. She has a very unique (to me, rather dreadful) style and I wonder what writers she was influenced by.
