That nostalgic tingling I had...

I was browsing through my portfolio's host's hostees list when I stumbled upon graphic websites that clearly show that their owners are new to photo-editing and webdesigning.

They reminded me of my first days webdesigning :')

I clearly remember that my first intention to make a website was because I saw a website (which has closed) and I was amazed ( Read more... )

that reminds me of mine too /sobs/ I miss coding actually, it's a thing that I have yet to get bored. but I don't get to do much coding nowdays, mostly because I lack of motivations, though. I still need to learn HTML5 and CSS3 ;______;

Awww I am nostalgic about those times too. They were fun times :) That's how me & you met right? Some times it seems like I have progressed a lot since those days, but other times I wish that I could go back...I'm almost done my computer science degree, and it's all about programming languages, algorithms, mathematical proofs of the correctness of code - sometimes it seems like the creative, design side is completely gone. But at the end of the day, I do love programming, and I enjoy that much more than design.

Every year my school invites gr6 girls in for a day of workshops and I've been a group leader for 3 years, teaching girls HTML (among other things!). It's such a strange feeling, to be teaching girls the thing I taught myself when I was their age. Of course there are always new things to learn myself! Right now I am learning Ruby on Rails :)

Yes! That's how we met :D
Honestly, I always feel that design is an important aspect in programming. You're good at designing, and being a programmer, well, you excel in both the mathematical stuff and in design, too :)
Aww that's so great! I wish someday I can teach someone HTML, but I suck at teaching (patience being my main problem) T__T
