I was sitting near a professor and an ESL(English as a Second Language) Student during my break time today. Apparently, the student had missed one of his classes. So, the student approached the professor because he wanted to make up for it- They had some sort of oral test in the lobby of my school. how common is english there? i've heard mixed reviews.

English is spoken quite widely here in the Philippines. However, there are a lot of Koreans that come abroad to study English here.. they make up 99.9% of the ESL classes. :P
