Is it better to try for something you know is doomed...to walk knowingly into failure, than to not try? I guess you have to weigh the consequences, but everyone's standards are different. What about heartache? Is it stupid to pursue someone you know doesn't feel the same way? Is it dumb to keep seeing someone whose amazing friendship

I could have written your first paragraph, which is my way of saying that I totally understand what you're talking about. That being said, I have no advice for you (I haven't figured it out for myself yet either), but I do feel for you. The situation sucks.
