:: About Yourself
Name/Nickname: Meri (it's not my real name, but I tend to go by that alias just as often as my actual name)
Age: 25
Describe your personality:
The thing you like the most about yourself: Tie between intelligence and creativity
The thing you hate the most about yourself: I can only concentrate on one thing at a time- I put everything into what I'm doing at that moment to the exclusion of everything else. If you talk to me while I'm working, I won't remember a thing you said.
Fears: A tie between growing old and infirm and not being able to live, and losing my mind and not being able to have my wits or intelligence.
Pet Peeves: People who don't respect animals and treat them as lowly creatures to be used and discarded, people who are narrow-minded and follow blindly without thinking for themselves, and math (yes, I'm smart, but I also have dyscalculia so I really have to work hard when numbers are involved)
Hobbies/Talents Art- I spend most of my day being creative; I sew, crochet, spin yarn, paint, draw, make jewelry and chainmaille, and sculpt. My other obsession is literature; my dream is to one day become a professor of early British literature (and hopefully get others to love it as much as I do!). Right now I'm teaching myself Old English both because it's a fun language I've always wanted to learn (I mean, it's Rohirric and I'm obsessed with Lord of the Rings), and because it'll give me a head start for grad school. I also love to garden, play video games and Dungeons and Dragons, and go to Renfaires (I LOVE costumes and getting to pretend to be another persona).
My main talent is my connection to animals; I consider myself to be an animal empath because I can usually sense how they're feeling and can keep any animal I meet calm. I've never been bitten, and if I meet a shy or aloof pet, they will come up to me so I can give them love and attention (and ear scratches). I'm assuming that this is because they know I respect them. Honestly, I enjoy their company more than that of humans. With people, I always feel like I'm on the outside looking in, like I'm not quite one of them, and I can never truly understand the things they do. That said, I do enjoy helping people- that's sort of another talent. I never judge and have no biases, and am always willing to help people out.
:: About Your Choices
Mature or Immature?: Mature. I suppose my love of fantasy and dressing in costume can be seen as immature by some people, but I don't think so. Really, I think I've always been mature for my age.
Leader or Follower?: Follower would be easier, but I always end up in the position of leader. I'm always the first to step up if a leader is needed, and I think I do a pretty good job with it (although part of that is that if I know I need help or know someone would be better than I am at what I'm doing, I'm not afraid or ashamed to ask for help or advice, or hand over the reins for a while).
Outgoing or Shy?: I'm a loner, but not really shy. I don't like putting myself forward and demanding attention, but if I need something done, I'll make my presence known.
Confident or Modest?: Confident in my abilities, but modest in that I know what my limits are, and not so confident that I won't ask for help
Optimistic, Pessimistic, and/or Realist?: Realist (yes, despite my love of fantasy). Things are as they are.
Low, medium, or high energy level?: Medium; I tend to not be all that active (I mean, my hobbies are stationary), but I also have a habit of surprising people with my ability to be active when they didn't see it coming (like my talent at DDR or the fact that I'm pretty good at a few sports)
Listener or Speaker?: Both: I listen because I want to learn and know all that's going on, and I like being in the shadows, but I'll definitely speak to get my point across.
Impulsive or Cautious?: Usually pretty cautious, unless it's something I really want to do, such as learn a new language or another kind of art. Then I'll jump right in.
Playful or Serious?: Generally serious, but I've definitely got a playful and mischievous streak.
:: About The Battle
Which character from SSB do you absolutely dislike and why?: I dislike most of the ugly, large antagonists, but I really dislike Wario. I hate that he's gross and rude- I hate that kind of immature, vulgar humor.
It's Subspace Emissary time! Pick a partner and explain why: A "good" character (alignment-wise) with honor and who would have my back. My best friend always plays Link, and he's a perfect match for my Pit or Sheik.
What is the most important thing in a battle: strength, agility or magic?: Agility. I'd have a feeling that magic would be unreliable and strength is overrated (and something I don't have- I'm small and rather weak) but to be able to dart in and dart out (or run away and fight from a distance) without putting yourself in danger is great.
You find out that everyone has been turned to statues. Except your archrival of old. Would you be willing to join forces with him for the greater good or not?: Ugh, it would have to be Wario, wouldn't it? Yes, I'd join forces with him because I had no other choice, but I'd be constantly watching to make sure he didn't turn on me or do something bad that would go against what I stood for. If he did, he wouldn't get a second chance; I'd set off on my own and hope that I found someone (human, animal, whatever) that I could trust to help me, or at least to guard my back while I finished defeating whatever it was I was fighting.
Describe your Final Smash: Probably a herd/clan/pride/etc of animals coming to my aid while I continued to fight, either fighting with me, or protecting me so I could fire my arrows into combat without anyone being able to hit me.
