Anyone read Erving Goffman's book Stigma? I have to read is as part of the course-along with many,many other (excerpts from)books. But this is the first one I actually took greater interest in. I find it interesting how many people on house boards(i have tv.com in mind here) try to look at everything from House's point of view and defend him for every decision, while barely anyone tries to look at other characters or if they do, they look at them from House's perspective. [...]

Then Foreman leaving and that little speech at the end of Human Error. I couldn't blame the guy for not wanting to turn into House, he didn't see him socially, he only saw the way House acted and spoke at work and reacted to that image. That fake-cancer didn't really help either.Again, I agree. That same person on tv.com commented that Foreman had delusions od grandeur if he was under the impression that he was turning into House. He was so far from House as he could be. True, he doesn't reach House in terms of brilliance (who does?), but they certainly share traits with House. They're both arrogant and confident (or was, until Foreman cracked in Family), they're not team players, and they're both stubborn and stand up for what they do. He's certainly the one of the three ducklings who is mostly similar to House. It's not for fun that they had that ep where they even wore the same kinds of shoes, to underline how similar they were in certain ways ( ... )
