Denny Crane and Alan Shore, the lusty, skirt-chasing guys on "Boston Legal," are in love. Theirs is a deep, yet platonic love.

They have slept together, although not in the biblical sense, dressed as flamingos together and shared their innermost thoughts and insecurities.

It is a love affair born of need and opposite attraction.LOL what the hell? :D The article might as well have described House and Wilson. Although, this Denny/Alan relationship sounds a lot healthier and a lot less angsty than H/W. It sounds lovely. I guess I ought to watch :P

Also cool that an article spells out their deep love that no women can reach. HA! Take that, women :P

Although comparing it to Chandler and Joey is diminishing for Denny/Alan. There are three shows that I have seen male/male relationship so openly depict platonic love/attraction, or man-love (I love that expression), on House, on Nip/Tuck and on this show. No sitcom comes close to so thoroughly describe a deep friendship. Why are Chandler and Joey friends? What makes them attractive to each other? What do they hate/like about the other? What issues do they have? Who knows? They've just been put in the same show, ergo we are to assume they're friends, although we don't know the first thing about them ( ... )

I suppose the author doesn't watch House because they really should be mentioned here.;) Haven't seen Nip/Tuck, is it good?

The thing about Alan and Denny is that their friendship is probably the only one that I can ever remember being so honest. I can't, for the life of me, ever picture House asking Wilson to sleep in his bed and then end up spooning against him(except in fanfics;)) or them exchanging ILU's (fully coherent and without any cover that is) or holding hands, dancing together...etc.;)
It's a lovely antidote to the angst on House actually*grins* esp after WH.

Yeah I think House should have been mentioned here, too, I mean, what with the strong comparison and all :P

Awwwwwwwwwwww they spooned? That is so cute! I just died of happiness a little, and I don't even know the characters :DDD

Although House did say ILU and did mean it, it was not a happy moment. I think that's the biggest difference. And, honestly, Wilson doesn't need to say it for us to know that he totally does ;)

I can imagine watching Alan/Denny is a great relief! I wonder if I can enjoy a pairing with no or little angst, since I'm so addicted to it *G* Hm, I think you should maybe give me s. 1 afterall :P

Well they have enough angst but the good thing about them is that they always(as I recall) make up by the end of the episode. And there is enough reassurance from both sides that they come first to make the whole thing really adorable.*grins*
It's one thing to suspect they're important to each other but another to have the character say it as well.:P
...and since I'm already advertising...;)
