Well, here's the deal. I got offered a job down in West Palm Beach from Fl Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to do herp stuff and some other fun things. This job offer came in on Thursday, and the pay is for $12.50/hour ($26,000/yr). Well I made it back from New Orleans, and boy was it bad. I went to New Orleans for the Joint Meeting of Ics and Herps from Wed 7/12 to Tues 7/18. Only about 60% of the city is inhabitable, and even some of it looks bad. The meeting went relatively well, with lots of professionals and students discussing and drinking everywhere. Well yesterday I came home and sold my Mazda pickup for $2700.00! At one time there was like 3 people at my parent's house wanting to look at it. It was a sad day.
