I didn't know that about FMLA. I work in a grocery store (going on ten years). :) I do have it, but I can also have the store manager write a contract excusing me from not being at work for a month too...which is nice, or maybe that's part of the FMLA thing, I don't know. There's no excuse for laws prohibiting people from changing gender on their birth certificates. If people are willing to do it legally, then I don't see why it can't be done anywhere in the U.S. just like changing a name. As far as I'm concerned, it's discrimination at it's finest, and a complete disregard for the rights of others.

There's no excuse for laws prohibiting people from changing gender on their birth certificates. If people are willing to do it legally, then I don't see why it can't be done anywhere in the U.S. just like changing a name.
