     I'm on a 5 day mini vacation, and tomorrow is my last day before going back to the 40 hour a week grind. It's been nice just hanging out at home... not doing much but what I want. I had some sort of moviethon thing yesterday where I sat and watched movies all day. Yes, I can do that quite successfully without feeling like I'm wasting my life. ( Read more... )

Hi! How's it going these days? I'm glad you still read my stuff :)Having troubles with money huh? Eh... money's such a pain in the ass, isn't it? What I've done in the past is made a commitment to save 10 bucks a week or something. You'd be surprised at how fast it adds up! Then after a few months, I would save 15 or 20 a week. Then I'd just continue to go up from there. Or I'd sit down and calculate what I needed to spend every month to live, then put the rest of it away out of my paycheck. I only use my savings if I'm really desperate for bills or food, other than that, it sits there and accumulates. I'm trying a thing I used to do where I'd dump a few paychecks into my checking so I'd have some money for bills for a while, then every other whole check would go into my savings. I think the reason why I can save pretty well is I hate not having a cushion of money to fall back on when times get tough.
