It's consistently stressed me out since the start, but not because I don't love him - just because it's too huge and scary, and compared to the rest of the Glee cast, just too MUCH. They're pushing him around like a puppet because people respond so forcefully to him, and I also think he has problems saying no especially if he thinks it is a good cause.. but yeah.

Exactly. I do not see the rest of the Glee cast doing a tenth of the stuff he's been doing lately. Maybe all of their extra work is behind the scenes (like Chris with his movie and now the Disney thing) or I'm just not seeing it because I don't look in the right places.

I understand he has things other than Glee he does things for but near on all the stuff he's had photos for or done interviews for has been because of Glee not Starkid.

So yes..

It's obviously not his choice, and while I am not SICK of him, I do find it quite upsetting that he is pushed this hard. I followed Glee press heavily before Darren - I'm one of the people who was super into both Glee and Starkid before the MELDING - both since 2009 - and no one has EVER, EVER had this much stuff. No way. Not even Lea gets this much press and NO ONE has been sent to perform everywhere despite many of them being musicians in their own right.

He more and more lately is using every opportunity when not asked directly about Glee - even in Glee events - to pimp out Starkid and his brother's band, so I guess he thinks that he doesn't have that long in the spotlight and wants to make the most of it while he cab.

YES. I've been into both the whole time as well - and NO ONE does this much press. I get that he's pretty much the face of the Warbler album and the Warblers have quite the following online - but I don't think they really knew how it would do, hence the major press push. But still, I think it's REALLY overkill, and at first I was happy he got to plug Starkid or Freelance Whales, but now I get the same vibe you do, that he won't be in the spotlight for long and it's like, DARREN. You have a mighty fine career ahead of you, calm your jets. Learn how to say no. Get some sleep. These aren't your fifteen minutes of fame.

Before I never really doubted that he was surrounded by people who had his wellbeing at heart, but lately :/ I just really hope he does.

Not an unshared opinion. I love him to pieces, but I'm definitely getting a little tired of seeing him everywhere.

Oh good, yes. I'm glad someone feels the same with being somewhat tired of seeing him everywhere.

I am too, even though I love seeing his gorgeous face!

I'm concerned that his people aren't taking care of him, or that he's not taking care of himself. I'm also concerned that he doesn't seem to know how to say "no", in regards to things unrelated to Glee. He's allowed to say "no". No one ought to get mad at him if he just says "no, I'm tired, I want to rest." And Glee higher-ups need to give him a break before he burns out.

(Sometimes, as wonderful as it is to see him on Glee, sometimes I wonder if things would have been less hectic for him if he hadn't gotten the role of Blaine Anderson.)

Yes, he doesn't seem to know how to say no does he? No isn't a bad thing Darren.

(I probably would not even know who he is if it wasn't Glee so I'm thankful for him joining the show. I feel out of the Harry Potter fandom before Starkid put up AVPM so I didn't find Starkid till after Darren became Blaine).

(I didn't know about Darren or AVPM and AVPS until AFTER he was on Glee. I was interested in Kurt having a boyfriend and being happy, and when I did a little research on Darren and found AVPM/AVPS, well, that all I needed to see to become a fan.)

not unpopular in the slightest!!

I get the feeling he's a lot like me, and has difficulty saying "no, I need to take care of myself" and just wants to please everyone, and in the end, pleases no one. :\

And I don't feel like a bad fan for thinking this.

Phew I'm glad. Well I knew most people shared the opinion that Darren needs to stop to take a break. I was more worried over my opinion that the constant exposure to him was making me a bit sick of seeing him. Well not sick I still get excited with new pictures and videos and stuff, just less excitement for it because its like every day and its more of the same.
