I always respect and value your opinions on lots of entertainment-related things. That's an honor that not a lot of people have.

By the way, I'd love to know what some of those blogs and magazines are you were referring to when we hung out.

Cinebeats is the one that talks about films like Latitude Zero and posts battle sequences from Japanese TV battle sequences (they just put up a clip from the TV series Condorman which is pretty awesome).

Video Watchdog is the only magazine I read regularly these days. Tons of great informative and thoughtful reviews of non-mainstream films. I really like the variety of films they review, you can get a massive roundtable discussion of Grindhouse, while getting helpful DVD reviews of the region 1 release of 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Kiyoshi Kurosawa's J-Horror flick Retribution, a Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis boxed set, and the DVD release of the 1980 version of Flash Gordon. All the critics have a much more in-depth writing style than you find on a lot of internet DVD sites, and they really go into how say, the new Dragon Dynasty release of Jackie Chan's Police Story compares to previous editions so you can decide for yourself it's worth a re-purchase.
