Among other things I bought today, along with the Edward Gorey illustrated version of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds; Black God's Kiss, a collection of fiction from C.L. Moore, one of the very few pulp writers who was a woman, and whose stories about the 8th century Frenchwoman Jirel of Joiry has a reputation for a certain melancholic atmosphere
