I've run twice since the first 25 minute excursion. I have been shocked at how much my calves still hurt! I waited until Monday after the first Friday run, and I could barely get through a mile. I went again Thursday (last night) and changed my running to more heely, but still only ran a mile. Each time, it was faster, though.
I think right now the most important goal for myself is to keep going. I guess for no good reason I'm more interested in increasing my distance rather than worrying about speed. If I can keep up the habit though, it will be important to set goals to work towards.
I ran "seriously" in high school track, but haven't really since. I may do some research as I progress for a bit more structure, more like a training program. But mostly, it's for fun so I'm not that worried about benchmarks and whatnot.
Yay for getting out there!
Never mind that I'm eating breakfast burritos and chips and salsa for breakfast :P Must buy more fruit.
