Went out again about a week ago, I think. did almost a mile with the still very fast feeling 90bpm cadence in mind. I feel SO. Slow. feet still ok. Ran a little bit without even the shoes, and the cool grass in the park was AWESOME. pinecones, less awesome.
This Tuesday I went to the YMCA for yoga class, and went a little early to run a bit on the treadmill. turns out, this faster footfall business is making me REALLY slow, but I did almost a mile before class.
I'm feeling a bit discouraged, because it just doesn't feel very rewarding to cover so little ground in such slow time. My heartrate is up, and at least i'm moving. I guess I just need to readjust my goals because I can't resign myself to going back to regular shoes or continuing to get horrible blisters. maybe a bit more reading to see what else I can work on improving.
