so there still is not repsonse yet on wether mike is going to NJ or not....however his mom keeps calling him and begging frantically for him not to go...well yesterday his dad called and was like whats going on...his question to mike was if he was doing this for an adventure, this is the wront time to go because of the winter weather, but mike

Well sorry it is taking me so long to respond work was crazy today. In response to your 2 post I think you just need to tell mike to revert back to the week before when he was soo upset about the money being short and remind him that going will help out alot. His parents giving you a break of even $100/month on the rent is not going to even come close to what he would make going on this trip. Also, tell him not to tell his mother anything anymore until he knows for sure he is going, like on the way to the airport going. His mother is not his responsibility anymore you are! She will get over it i promise. Jer's mom does the same thing everytime he goes away for months at a time but they learn that they can not control what goes on with them. DO NOT let mike pass this up, if you let his mother win this one you will be fighting her the rest of your life. He needs to stand up to her Now. I will email you again next week. Mike needs this trip and although it scares me to death that he will be traveling in snow... millions of people do it a day! His mom will recover from this. But if he caves to his mom, he will resent her for a very long time. Unfortunately, she doesn't see that point, but it will happen.
