I'm FAMOUS!! or is that infamous?

My employer was on the NBC Today show this morning!!  My CEO, Dan Evans was the dude trying to explain why it's okay that he'll be docking $25 out of every pay check starting in 2009.

Isn't there a law or something against them requiring that information?

I know they have the right to ask, but as far as I knew you also have the right to decline answering. Them requiring it is totally rediculous, what does religion have to do with health (and yes, I do realize that there are some diseases that are more prevalent within certain religious cultures because they tend to not marry outside of their culture - but with cultural mix and inter-cultural/inter-racial marriages being what they are even those lines have been blurred quite a bit in the last few generations).

I'm really lucky mine is one of the companies offering *incentives* not penalties. Well, our health insurance plan does. Curves is a partner gym, so I get part of my monthly fees reimbursed. They give us points for good BP, good (low) cholesterol, not smoking (blood test required to confirm), going to the gym, etc. Then you can use the points for stuff, from movie theater passes to VCR's, cameras, DVD's, toys, home & garden stuff, etc ( ... )
