I just tried Alexander for the first time. Beware that he uses Perfect Defense right away, and this wipes your Astral Flow effect. So, if you want more use out of your 2 hour, don't summon him first. ;)

Hm.. for some reason I never thought about that... x_x.. nice idea. Using something like an Aerial Blast, then saving Odin or Alexander for after. In fact, since he doesn't require the BP timer to be active (I think), I imagine you could get off 3 Aerial Blasts and possibly still a Zan / PD...

The only problem is how rarely Aerial Blast beats out Wind Blade or Pred claws.. especially when MP consumption comes into play. Lol..

If you use alexander with 900+ mp the duration of perfect defense will be 1:30m(max time you can get), with low mp you only get 60sec, you can use elemental siphon and sublimination to get back 500+ mp fast.

Imagine Dynamis Lord with smns, ppl will get low dmg and will resist status effects, no more wipes? xD The dmg resisted is max at the start of perfect defense and its 50% when PD ends.

I would like to see if Odin 2h can be good vs AV, maybe if 10-18 smns cast odin at the same time they can do max dmg, /dreams xD
And if it isnt possible, Alexander will be good in AV, you can have every group with perfect defense and if they need more than 1:30min to kill AV you can go with 6 smns for a second round of Perfect Defense.

Odin dmg is based on current %HP NM and %MP of smn, dont need to get many mp equip to do good dmg. Since Zantetsuken can MB equip with pet magic attack bonus will help and summoning skill maybe can help with acc but idk.

Yeah, Perfect defense should be nice for zerg situations, but a SMN taking up a party slot with 2 brds and a cor for instance, is not really. So you would need good leaders with quick /pcmd skills and some quick member reactions and a good battle plan to get things rolling quickly once the 2 hour is active.

Good to know about the 1min 30 sec thing. I need to remember to ask you any SMN questions, because you probably know the answer.. and you should ask me and rdm questions XD. The Zanketsuken to Orcus was very impressive though...
