Love. So much love. Oh I love all of it. I always just never want your fics to ever end. And then they do. And I am sad.

This one was REFUSING to end, which was hell on earth, trust me.

This is great. It was for sure a missing scene, a lost piece of the puzzle, and it makes so much sense when found and put back together and it's so very welcome!

A scene like this - something where Amy decides it's okay to stop searching for her daughter - is something I feel was greatly missing from the series.

Exactly! It is such a big deal what happens. It kept bothering me: How does one conceal the loss of a daughter? How could she ever forgive the Doctor being him, as he said himself "the epicentre of the explosion"? Even if you get to grow up with her, it's not the same. Never the same. And it's such a big, tragic loss. I had hoped that they would come back to this, but I guess that I'll have to content myself with the scene between Amy and Kovarian. Nonetheless, thank goodness for fanfictions. And yours is certainly listed.

Another thing that bothered me was the Doctor's saying, "and on my life she shall be safe", and they never really went over that. There was no apology, no recognition of them not going back - unless, somehow, I missed it.

That was excellent. What a difference a couple of scenes like that would have made. I do think Amy could have been persuaded, eventually, to give her daughter up, but it would have been nice to see something of that process. (I'm quite interested in Rory's feelings too. Perhaps a companion sketch sometime?)

Particularly I liked this:

(He takes people, and he ruins them, and how is that better than any of the things he could possibly call enemies? People walk away changed, but he’s not always sure it’s for the better and there’s always something there that’s wrong. People walk away changed but they never walk away whole, and he sits in his TARDIS and moves on and hates himself for it.)

The funny thing is, I had fully intended for Rory to be in this piece, and then - he just never showed up, which was the oddest of things. Then again, when I started this story I'd intended for it to take place in the hospital. I'd also never intended for Amy to show up at all, but then she did and - well, Rory didn't follow.

But a long story short, yes. I've been trying to think of a good place to write something of River and Rory's relationship. Because I just think it would be adorable.

“But that’s like dying. Did she die? All those times?”

>>>>> OH MAN.. OH MAAAAAAAANN ;________;

“I’m letting you go.” She whispers. “Way too early, if you ask me, but doesn’t everyone feel that way?”

>>>>> O SHIT. *sniff*

TARDIS start to squeal. She’s piloting herself and he’s left the brakes on, again. River flinches at the noise

>>>>> OH GOD OH GOD *SOBBBBB*

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS ♥♥♥♥♥

Thank you! This is definitely one of those fics I wasn't entirely sure about when I wrote, so to know that it actually works means quite a lot.
