I have some vague ideas floating about but I'm not sure I could pull it together into an actual story.

I give - I'm working on it. Right now I have a bunch of drabble-y scenes that I need to string together into coherence, but it's on its way.

McCoy felt like the world’s worst father when his first thought upon seeing Joanna was ‘that’s can’t be her.’

He had figured that Laura had been exaggerating when she’d started in on Joanna’s behavior - it had been her habit to descend into overdramatic rewriting of history when things didn’t go exactly as she wanted. But Joanna was only thirteen, and it wasn’t like teenage-ness started like a switched flip on her birthday. McCoy had figured that he would have more time before any sort of real rebellion cropped up. He had figured she’d maybe stayed out past curfew or had gotten herself a boyfriend of the puppy love variety or something equally innocuous and blown out of proportion ( ... )
