This journal is friends locked. Sorry, but I don't want my blog entries ending up on those blog collection sites. I talk about communication, popular culture, metafandom, media, Man From U.N.C.L.E. and occasionally, some personal stuff. If you want to read this LJ, feel free to friend me but please introduce yourself first. I usually friend back.

Thanks for the help with the fanon-canon debate - I'm operating on the 'tree pretty, fire bad' level of comprehension today, but I'm sure it'll make perfect sense tomorrow...or the day after...or possibly next week.
Question (in all seriousness now) - why would someone put someone's anything into a blog? I've not jumped upon the blog (or tweet or whatever the hell they're calling it this week) bandwagon, but am trying to wrap my frontal lobe around the phenomenon. would that almost be akin to electronic plagiarism? It's different to say, "Oh you should read St. Crispin's so-and-so, but to post it for the world to see is (to me) a bit like saying, "I found this and I'm going to share it with everyone, to hell with the OP". Wrong, close, so far off base it hurts?

Thanks for the input. Can never have too much of that these days.

If you want folks in the future to still read something you're sharing, sometimes, you have to paste it whole into your blog because later on, the link won't work.
Happens to me all the time. I've learned to save.

I spent the weekend reading Sleeping Beauty and Prisoner's Dilemma - the latter quite literally broke my heart! So wonderfully angsty and emotional!
I can't wait to find out how the boys got out of that mess. =)

Poor PD gets written when I have the time (which is almost never).
RE: how they get out of the mess. Hint: enforcement agents (even ex-ones) help their own.

Were you aware (of course you were!) of a new UNCLE series of books that have the same front cover style as the ones from the 60s? I purchased #2 as a present to myself and found it pretty good. Have a happy new year.
