The American Dream is dead. They ought to stop writing about how it's "dying." Because if the American Dream still existed, you'd be a published writer on the way to a literary award; house and car included. Ironically, we were just debating this in Lit. class last night. Hmm...
Plus, I never really cared for "Death of a Salesman" anyway. ^_-
And what is with the "A Novel" subtitle? Like they're trying to sound more prestigious/pretentious or something, "Buy me! I'm a novel, unlike that book down there with its 600 pages of not novelness!"
The current fiction trend, what sells, seems to be shorter and shorter, I've noticed. Once mainstream literary work falls below three hundred pages, perhaps people need to be reminded with that they are dealing with still falls under the genre of novel.
