Wow. I was not expecting mature, awesome TOS Chapel at all. Such a brilliant idea for a fic, and so well executed - the quiet grief and bewilderment at being uprooted, her steadiness, and the way they naturally come together through friendship and a shared past.

Oh, this is just a beautiful story. Sad but hopeful and full of well-considered, mature emotions. And the picture is stunning--Chapel is so much like Majel...actually, they're just like I'd imagine them both to be at that time of life. Wonderful work!
