When I grow up, I'll steal the covers

You know what's sad? I slept at a Marriott on Wednesday night and realized how much my own bed at home sucks. I still sleep on the same bed I've had since... well, high school? I don't know how long it's been. The mattress is at least 10 years old, though, and lately, I lay down and toss and turn trying to get comfortable. It's no good. My arm can' ( Read more... )

Just because you can't share a bed doesn't mean you're not an adult. I've been more of a spooner lately, which goes against everything I used to be. I mean, my ex and I used to sleep back-to-back or both on our stomachs when I'd stay over -- we were not cuddlers. Anyway, my parents best friends just have two double beds that they've pushed together. That way, they can do all that stuff and still sleep in their own beds -- no coverhogs or limbs falling asleep or whatever. Hell, one of my friends' mom's usually ends up in the guest room because her husband snores SO BADLY (seriously, I've heard it from the first floor). My mom usually falls asleep in front of the TV in the den and my dad wants dark/quiet before he goes to bed. It's all good. ---twg.

Yeah, in a way, we're VERY grown up. We're like a couple that's been married for 25 years and can't stand to sleep in the same room anymore! Actually, no, I know it's not like that. At first, it did bother me because I knew people would think it was weird and assume we have either a)a shitty sex life or b) intimacy problems. Then I realized no one really gives a shit. ;)

But we do need to man up and get a big ass bed to share.

It's like riding a bike, right?

Just kidding, I know it can be a strange problem, coming back, writing again. Take your time. But just know that your faithful readers miss you!
