I played at the open mic tonight. I played "Play Crack The Sky" by Brand New by myself, and "Soco Amaretto Lime" by Brand New with Steve. I wasn't too happy with my solo performance, but I absolutely loved playing with Steve. It just fueled my yet un-quenched lust for group musical creativity. i had a good time playing the song with you. lets do it again. and as for the band thing. ive made plans to start jamming with this kid jacob. he was at the open mic last night and hes really cool. he plays drums and is pretty good and is down for playing anything so it should work. with that in mind im taking my week in arizona to try and come up with ideas for songs and begin writing lyrics because well last night gave me a lot of inspiration with that but i dont really want to talk about what happened. so yeah im sure felix will end up coming to play with us at some point too and if we get something going we will definitely be recruiting a bass player sooo.. we will see how things go. but i had a great time last night. last night especially that envy song i played ive never felt so much actual emotion when playing maybe it was because of my situation but those songs really hit. thanks for being my musical buddy.
