☆ VARIANT: TRADITORI ☆

So. You know how to play Mafia. Good, good.

Well then, I'll tell you what's different in House Traditori.

Listen close.

Variant: Traditori
1. There is one traitor for every twenty characters.
2. They do not know that they are traitors -

What's that? How'd you get here? That's up to you, but here you are.

Let's continue.

3. A poll is put up every Sunday and Thursday by the House -

House? House. Yes. That would be me. Us.

We wanted to play a game, you see.

3. A poll is put up every Sunday and Thursday by the House.
4. Everyone must vote -

Who's everyone? Well, take a look around. Your fellow players. Who are they? How did they get here?

Well, why not ask them?

4. Everyone must vote.
5. Votes are secret.

Why, why, what, where. So many questions!

Let's take one at a time.

1. There are two traitors. That's simple enough, don't you think? There are traitors, they are killing the rest of you, and there are two of them. Better find out who!

2. They do not know that they are traitors. Ah, that makes it a bit harder, doesn't it? We don't want too easy or quick a game, if any innocent soul we picked up would rather confess their guilt than play it through. This way, everyone can confess away! Now, the real question is, do you believe them?

3. A poll is put up every three days by the House. The poll of who gets their lifelines snipped short. It's all the evidence that you have to go on. Who votes for who? Who dies as a result? Whoever the traitors vote for should be the ones dying, right? If you voted for someone that died, could the traitor be you?

4. Everyone must vote. But of course, we can't ignore the majority! That's part of the fun of the game! Everyone must vote, and the person with the most votes is also doomed. A minimum of one per poll -- one if they all coincide, more if the two traitors and majority disagree. How long 'til it's you? You do the math. If someone doesn't vote, the House will throw in a random one, skewing everybody's calculations...

5. Votes are secret. And that's the last rule, the one that makes it the most fun of all. Who voted for who? How do you trust their word? Are they the traitors? Are you the traitor, if someone you voted for dies? How do you know for sure, without revealing your vote and seeing if anyone else supported you? What if they did? What if they didn't? Should you reveal your vote at all? Decisions, decisions. That's what this game is all about.

So here we are, the full list again:

Easy, isn't it?

No?

Well then.

Good luck.
