CANONICAL - IN-GAME
Claire "Vino" Stanfield / Felix Walken: ♥/♥
-- Claire is someone who is both monumentally important and confusing to Chane. He proposed to her shortly after meeting her on the Flying Pussyfoot and grasping to understand her problems - he intended to make her happier by joining her family. Chane, who had never had anyone even attempt to understand her besides her father, was pretty much shocked and bewildered by this. When they met up again a few days later in Manhattan, he rescues her and professes his love for her rather passionately - his feelings had grown a lot during their seperation. However, he offered to just be friends with her first, which Chane accepted with the first smile she'd shown in the entire series.
Her feelings for him are something she still needs to sort out. The only relationship she's ever had is the one with her father, and to be quite honest, she has no idea how to act towards him and his unconditional and genuine feelings for her. Despite this, she can see the light, so to speak - the idea of having someone else in her life besides her father, one she had never entertained before, is new and enticing. Claire's enthusiastic personality and insistence on romance continue to draw her slowly out of her shell in regards to both their relationship and her interactions with others. And while he does confuse her, she can't deny that she finds herself growing to like him more and more as the days pass - his presence is a relief, and his confident and talkative attitude, while being somewhere between irritating and endearing, balances out her shy and defensive personality neatly.
NON-CANONICAL
RED Heavy: ♥/♥ ( DROPPED )
-- Her assigned Mayfield husband. He's big, dour, and occasionally overconfident in whatever this 'RED Team' he's talking about is, but he has actually been pretty acceptable for this situation, as far as Chane is concerned. In fact, his typical quietness is something she appreciates; there's a lot for her to digest in Mayfield. And despite their forced relationship, he hasn't tried anything on her at all or even suggested it, which definitely earns him her respect. The weapon he keeps around is enormous and not like anything she's ever seen, and while that does keep her on edge, Chane considers herself fairly lucky for being stuck with an overall agreeable person.
Now that he's gone, she's rather uneasy about who will be placed in her household instead.
Mogget: ♥
-- It's a talking cat. This makes her uneasy. In addition to that, he seemed a little cold and smug, a behavior which bothered her coming from a talking cat. However, he did give her some useful information, and she is curious about how, exactly, a talking cat came to exist.
Tohno Shiki: ♥/♥
-- A boy Chane met with the strange power to cut through anything by seeing its weak point. He seems fairly unassuming and even kind, despite his fearsome ability. A little dim, maybe, but something about him is pretty calming. He's been exceptionally nice to Chane whenever they meet, and as such, she tentatively considers him an ally, at the least.
Kigai Yuuto: ♥
-- This charming man came out of nowhere and decided to help Chane out one day. Still having difficulties understanding that people might help her out just because they want to be kind, this confused her right off the bat - something that wasn't aided by his lack of introduction. He seemed apologetic and genuine enough, but then he had to go and touch her face. This combined with an earlier comment on how she was pretty had Chane pretty much convinced he was just making sexual advances on her. Poor Yuuto.
Since then, he's been genuinely trying to make up for it by helping her out every once in a while, something Chane has been cautiously allowing. He doesn't seem to have any bad intentions towards her, after all, and if he does, Chane knows she can defend herself.
CANONICAL - OUTSIDE OF GAME
Huey Laforet: ♥♥
-- Chane's beloved and immortal father. By others who don't know their relation even though they look practically identical, she's called his "fanatical follower." There is no one in the world more important to her, and until recently, there was no one else in her world at all, as far as she was concerned. Her loyalty to him is absolute and unfaltering, based not on a sense of duty or fear, but her enormous love and respect for him. She has devoted her entire life to protecting him and his secrets, and regrets nothing she has done for that end - even giving up her voice. The two of them had the ability to somehow communicate telepathically; however, that talent has been severed upon Chane's arriving in Mayfield, leaving her feeling quite alone.
Jacuzzi Splot: ♥
-- A young bootlegger who rescued Chane from the river she'd jumped into on her escape from the Flying Pussyfoot. He's a real nervous wreck who's constantly apologizing and crying, but he has a heart of gold. Jacuzzi, along with Claire, was one of the people who helped to open up Chane's narrow view of life. Despite knowing that she was one of the black-suited terrorists on the train and her rather unapproachable personality, he went out of his way to take care of her and include her in his gang. When she was kidnapped by Graham, Jacuzzi came alone and on crutches with all the money he had - and the bounty on his head - for the ransom, even though he had only known her for a day or two. His unbelievable kindness, putting everything on the line just for her sake, astounded Chane and helped her to realize that there were other people who could care for her besides her father. Chane tentatively calls him a friend; a rare thing for her.
Nice Holystone: ♥
-- Jacuzzi's girlfriend and another leader of the bootleggers. Despite her tough appearance, she's fairly low-key, with a 'cool' personality tempered only by her love of blowing stuff up. Similar to Jacuzzi, Nice befriended Chane; however, she provided a softer and more understanding role for her ( contrasted to Jacuzzi's constant apologizing and martyring, anyways ). Nice, too, is someone Chane might call a friend.
Graham Specter: ♥
-- Graham kidnapped Chane while she was in the care of Jacuzzi and Nice after the Flying Pussyfoot incident. This did not make the greatest of first impressions on her. His near-endless philosophical babbling are both daunting and annoying to the mute Chane ( although she did manage to put up with it for several hours. ) She was eventually forced to fight him for her freedom, not believing that Jacuzzi would come through to rescue her, whom he had just met. Graham also fought with Claire. ( Poorly, but Claire is circus hax. ) Basically, she sees him as an enemy.
Ladd Russo: ♥
-- Ladd is a psychopathic killer and the hitman of the Russo family. Chane encountered him on top of the moving Flying Pussyfoot, where they proceeded to battle. She fought him on even ground, but Claire eventually appeared and defeated him, cutting their battle short. Ladd pried and poked a bit too much into her personal life and her relationship with her father for Chane's liking, including bringing up the rather disturbing idea that Huey was just using her. Then, Ladd promised that he would kill Huey, since killing Chane would be 'boring.'
She really doesn't like him.
