I once found a website which explained how to do all that crazy stuff with the journal, i'll see if I can find the link for you. This the code I used:
Oh, I owe you more CDs (only i'm low on blanks right now). Have I burnt you the rapture yet?(if I have, did you like it?) We need a meeting to exchange CDs, talk, and whatnot. Sunday?
Let's address your complaints one by one. First off, Something Corporate may not be great, but it certainly isn't the worst shit ever. You just have to be in a certain mood to appreciate it. Second: Is the fact that it's about having an abortion(I'm assuming that's what apportion is) supposed to make me appreciate it any more? I mean, if I write a godawful song about the genocide in Rwanda, does that make it an instant classic? What about a song about my grandfather dying slowly from cancer? Am I a one hit wonder, then? Third, this wasn't addressed to me, I'd like to respond to it anyway. I'd say the reason there is better music this decate than any other is because there is more music this decade, and more ways to become known to the world.
Okay,I suppose their might, somehow, be worst stuff then something corporate.
Second - point very well taken. I wasn't so much claiming that it makes it a better song, rather since you were analyzing both songs; the meaning behind it might be interesting to you. (no-one sent you a memo? apportion is the new abortion, duh)
