My life is filled with crushing anxiety

I have a job interview tomorrow at 4:30 for doing Photoshop and stuff for a professional photographer. I've interviewed for another job there before and totally fucked up that interview. Anyone have any good suggestions for me to finally not suck at interviews and get a good job? (I mean like really good hints too, not just be polite and really ( Read more... )

all you have to do if you're nervous is pretend you're not you. i know that doesn't make much sense, but that's how i got over my fear of public speaking (remember english class in high school? bleh.) just think to yourself, "how would so-and-so do this interview?" and do the interview as that person (pick some really smart and confident photographer friend/professor of your's, obv). seriously, whenever i speak in public i'm totally pretending i'm someone else!

Hypnotize them into hiring you! They are getting very sleepy . . .

I don't know. I know from my last interview at work that people find it endearing when you're really honest. And don't freak out if you have to do photoshop stuff in front of them. Take deep breaths!

there is a book called "job hunting for dummies". i'm not calling you a dummy, but there is some good info on resumes, interviews, etc and the book isn't very expensive. you posted this 3 days ago, so i gotta ask... how did it go?
