How important is a title?

I am struggling with a few things in regards to my writing.  J  It is nothing major, but since I am writing two separate novels, it would be nice to be able to have a title for one of them, right?

I know in the long scheme of things it isn’t important, but I wonder if other people that write have the same problems.  Or am I just insane?

In my very humble opinion, titles are pretty useless to the writing process. I think it's something that can be thought about nearer the end, unless you get a massive brain wave in the middle. But not something you need to spend much time mulling over yet.

The story is in your head, you know which characters are which and who's doing what, and if you don't, a title shan't help.
