LJ Idol -- Open Topic

When I was teaching, Wednesdays were journal days.

My freshmen would assemble themselves in their desks, and I would wander to the blackboard after the bell. “Journal #X,” I would write on the board, along with the day's date.

And then I would list the topic.

The way it was!, a teacher can start so many things, can leave prints on your mind that one day even when you are old you remember they applauded you for, encouraged you to do more. So thanks for the entry.

Thank you Miss Grifiths, for telling me to write and saying the dreadful mess I made was worth it for the content. That I had imagination.

I remember journaling in high school. I think I have mine somewhere too... It's interesting to look back on. I do have my personal journal from back then and that's just a sad thing to read through...

I don't remember journaling assignments after middle school health (didn't keep those), but I did start this LJ while still in high school. Reading earlier posts from here often makes me cringe.
