If I have something really important to say, is it okay to put it in a letter? What I mean to say is, it is something that needs conveying, and I don't lack for opportunity to personally convey it, but I think I'd do better to write it down....otherwise I may never say anything! I think that saying something directly to someone conveys a strong statement in itself, whether you make a few stumbles or miscommunicate or anything else like that. I've always appriciated someone's ability to confront me personally and reasonably... I feel like I've been given a deal of respect in this, and as such, respect is exchanged.

If you're worried about miscommunication, write the letter first, without actually sending it. See if you can isolate your point, and work out the wording you want to use to convey it. After you've done that, you can confront someone in person with both the issue and a degree of confidence.

Be frank and be honest. Using five words when two will do, only leads to complications, confusions, and leaves a big opening for the miscommunication you're worried about.

I can only tell you what I'd do if the same options were presented to me. Either way, I know you'll make a good decision, Stace. Stay awesome. Hope I helped.

Thanks. I think I'll give that a try. And, just for the record, I'm pretty sure your input always helps. :-)
