So i got this new computer last week...

it's a windows xp media center 2005. I always have amazing gadget lust every time something new comes out. This thing is like a Tivo, only there are no fees, and I can make dvds of the stuff I record. plus it's a really fast kick butt computer too, that does all sorts of neat multimedia things. It even burns labels onto your CDs using something

Oooohh coooooool!!! That's so awesome!! Cos' I'm always too lazy to transfer the stuff TiVo's recorded on to DVD so I have 2 hour specials still saved. Heh. Yay! Staci's back!! :-D

You can make dvds from a tivo now? how cool! I can't get past the $13 a month fee. I already pay just about every other monthly fee there is, i really wanted to be free to record tv that i already pay to get.

I read somewhere that broadcasters are looking into encrypting their shows so that you can't burn dvds or transfer them to other devices. That kinda sucks since my next purchase is going to be an Archos Pocket Media Assistant PMA400. Like i said, i have gadget lust...

Hehe. Yeah, you can. My dad does it for me. You basically just play it from the TiVo and then record it to DVD like you would if it weren't TiVo'd I think.

I have yahoo messenger on my blackberry. I haven't used it yet, so i'm not sure how well it works. AIM doesn't play nice with this new computer. My other computer died months ago and my work computer has a policy on it that keeps AIM (and other chat things) from being installed on it. They're making it harder and harder on us to have fun at work :-)
