Me and madre had a chit chat on the way to HQ today. Of course about the air force. And she said that I'm going to fail at life and make it no where and struggle for nothing. She said I don't have drive and I'm not good enough for school. She said the real world will kill me and I won't make it. What a mother. She said I should have more respect

That line hit me hard, I'm in the same boat.
Go for your goals, you set your mind to it and I know you can do it. Who's to tell us what is best for us? You want to go to college go for it! Many people don't even have that kind of drive. She wants the best for you I can understand that but you have to make those choices...you're an adult now. And all that she has taught & shown you makes you the person you are today.
