Oh god. I would be a complete wreck in your situation. I hope people can sweep in and help you take your mind off things, and I really really hope the surgery goes well.

How is your mom handling it, emotionally?

I'm really not sure how to answer that last question. Like really not. You know how people describe losing your mind? she described it a little, and it was rather unnerving, so I'm not actually sure how she's dealing with all this, which is even more disturbing. I couldn't get a lock on if she was putting on a brave face, just not as concerned, or what. Eeek, hard.

Vera and Sam kidnapped me for a bit midday for Burgerville. Successful distraction was had by all.

I don't know if I'm a complete wreck. I think there have been too many things happening over time=x whatever value x is for me to successfully break down right now. Anywho, I've been staring rather than gardening, time to go be less of a staring person.

You know how people describe losing your mind?

I hate it when people describe losing my mind. They're all, "oh, it was right here, maybe my son took it for Show & Tell or the cat got it," and I'm all, "DAMMIT! Be careful with that thing! It's still a little wonky from the last time in the dryer." And then I have to go dig up the spare, which is mostly newspaper and popsicle sticks anyway, and it's all scratchy and uncomfortable.
