I've read 3/4 of The Tale of Desperaux twice now. I still don't know how it ends. I don't want that book to end. (Yes, I'm in denial.)

This happens all the time with books I really love (though eventually I finish them, with the above exception). It's a bad habit of mine, and now I realize I do the same thing when I'm writing.

I savor books I'm reading and slow way down as they come to a close. But with my own writing, I'm usually anxious to be DONE. :-) Finish, Stacy! I want to read your next masterpiece!!!

I know what you mean. I don't want a good book to end either, but I can finish it, knowing the whole story will still be there for me to read again. As to your WIP, once you end it, it's really just the beginning, isn't it, when you can look forward to revising and polishing and making it even better? So... move on, my fearful one. Great pleasures await you!

I do the same thing. Both with reading and writing. Sometimes I'll read the same sections of the book over and over again instead of pressing forward because I simply don't want it to end. I guess I need to change my perspective and think of endings as beginnings.

Hey, my name is Blake, I love your book Jump The Cracks, I have not got done with it, but its so good. I am at the part where Victoria is headed to Alanta with William. I love all the action happening already! I hope I can be an author someday and write just as good of books as you( not possible) well thats all! Thanks!
