baking wish list

Our kitchen is pretty well-equipped, especially considering that we live in an apartment without tons of counter space. My husband might even argue that we have too much kitchen stuff, though I would disagree. Of course. While I am quite pleased with the majority of it (and never take away my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, my food processor, or my pots ( Read more... )

I need a food processor. We had one before we left NV, but David gave it to his brother. I also wouldn't mind a small hand chopper for smaller jobs when I don't want to dirty up a big old food processor. I think a pasta attachment for my KitchenAid would be wonderful too. I'm a kitchen gadget whore. I have so many machines it's sick..

~ Percolator
~ Espresso Machine
~ Senseo Coffee Maker
~ Blender
~ Toaster
~ Air Popcorn Popper

*hides in shame*

I really miss having a George Foreman. I might invest in one again because it's so much better than using the damn stove or oven when I can't use the grill. :P

Did I mention I'm a small appliance whore?

To be fair, we have a Kitchen Aid, a blender/food processor combo, 12-cup coffee maker, espresso machine, 4-slice toaster, toaster oven, waffle maker, air popper, crockpot, and rice steamer. Oh, and a Mighty OJ.

I forgot the ice cream maker that my ex-MIL gave us as a Christmas gift that has not left David's office since I opened it prior to Christmas. I also have a crock pot. Once upon a time it was 2, but my big crock got a crack. I mourned its death for like a week. I mourned the death of my free FoodSaver in the same manner. I wonder if there are 12-step programs for small appliance addiction. O_o

I think it's a 2-step program that involves 1) moving into a place with a small kitchen/no storage and 2) getting rid of what you don't need.

If you have the space for it and use it all, why not? We got a George Foreman as a gift and returned it because we have a grill pan and a small outdoor charcoal grill. We also do not have a microwave. I would rather have a toasted oven!

But it would be so handy for dividing dough. A fake credit card sounds unsanitary with lamination. And I have a Serious Ice Scraper/Brush Combo and do not have a wallet scraper.

And I never said I need one...
