Tone,
Being a socially acceptable 'rocker' and being punk as fuck are indeed two different things. I'd much rather say what the fuck I want, when the fuck I want, to whom the fuck I want and not give a fuck if I'm being crass or not. Although tact is a good thing to have -- and common sense.
I'd like to say that I'm better than most people because I can drink more forties than them. I dunno, people at school will be like "I drank eight shots and did some Ambien man! I was so fucked up!" And I stroll up wearing tight pants and say shit like "I had close to three forites before I puked up all over the passenger side of my car, pissed in one of those forties, then cracked open another one." To which they respond: "you're a fucked up alcoholic." No mangs, I'm just punk.
Tone, we should get a drink and have a talk soon. You gonna be at Charlie's thing tomorrow?
i like your style - im sure i know the type of school kids you're talking about but if i didnt, liquor and drugs vs. forties, sounds like a good time either way - sometimes good guys dont wear white and sometimes punks dont wear black - and tonight we drink in honor of a true punk role model, our friend charlie
The sun shines out of our behinds.

Buying a homeless person lunch, while commendable in some respects, is still largely gratuitous as hell. Thinking that you're a better person because you did so is fucking bullshit.

you're missing my point and taking my writing too seriously
no, buying a homeless person lunch is commendable in every respect - unless you're doing it just to keep your soul out of hell
yes its completely gratuitous: without reward and uncalled for by the circumstances
one does not become a better person because he/she bought a homeless person lunch - one is a better person and acts in ways that express that fact - there are endless ways to do this, one such way is to buy a homeless person food
and for the record my definition of 'better' is to be less selfish, more loving
