I'm working my way through the x-files. I've made it up to the end of the fourth season so far.

My question is--when does the movie come into things? is it at the end? Do i need to watch at any specific part?

Apparently the new movie is going to be sans mythology so that people coming to see the movie don't necessarily have to have seen the series.

I was thinking more about the old movie--so yes, excellent, I'll watch it between the fifth and sixth.

Also, from what you (and others) have said, should I just not watch the last two seasons? Just stop at the end of season seven and say "i'm done here"?
