trying to temperature-stress the hard drive into cracking. a 100-degree change in a few seconds shoulda done something... but nooo..

that actually may be because the drive itself is rated for a high thermal and physical shock. what you may want to try is local hardware shop - they often carry the keys to those sort of screws. i needed one for my xbox earlier today and got a good set of like 18 keys for $3 US.
