so i went shopping today. got back and realized that i'd locked myself out of my room. first time i've ever done that.. :) eventually my housemate suggested trying the window, which worked quite nicely since i was able to stick my hand in and grab my keys off the shelf. could have crawled in too, but that wasn't necessary. ah, the advantages of

i'm waiting for the day i do that and have to climb up to the 4th floor window to get in... but thankfully, the doors can't be locked without the key.
