switched back to linux yesterday. mandrake 10.0 is pretty nice, i really like the tight integration with kde. as always, the longest part of the install was package selection. and as always, the longest part of the post-install was trying to figure out how to install third-party software and have it work properly ( Read more... )

you mean if it bluescreened every once in a while, ate files randomly, and cost a ton? that can be arranged... :)
never mind, i'm too busy to get into one of these arguments again..

ok, may i just note that my windows 2000 has never bluescreened a single time since i got it two years ago, nor have any files been eaten. not that i like microsoft.

actually, i've had xp once bluescreen on me - i have two pcmcia slots on my computer and i yanked card out of one and stuck it in the other very quickly and it caused an irq fault so it bluescreened. but that's it, as far as i remember.

I have always wanted to run Mandrake ... but hasn't gotten the time to do it and figure how to use it properly. I'll probably emulate on Windows... hopefully that will be ok.
