and NEVER EVER watch the movie called "A Serbian Film". I've heard that it was a boundary pushing film, and as a horror fan, I thought I would like it. There was nothing scary about it. It was just sick and depraved. I felt dirty and depressed after watching it

What kind of horror movies do you like? Have you ever seen "Jacob's Ladder"? That's a damn good movie. I like goofy horror movies more than gory ones, so I love things like "Tales from the Hood" and "Friday the 13th Part VIII", haha!

I love campy horror movies of the 70's/80's/90's. I own all the Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and The Omen series. I'll give anything a chance. Ghosts/Demons/Paranormal terrify me LOL I haven't seen Jacob's Ladder, or Tales from the Hood, so I will definitely be adding them to the list, thanks! Goofy/Comedy horror are great, I agree! Have you seen Hatchet? It fits in that category, I think!

Like, I was SO underwhelmed by PA1 that after watching the movie in the dark v. late at night, I actually casually put my hand under the bed to grab my laptop to proclaim how incredibly terrible it was. xD
After reading your comments about some of the 'plot' of A Serbian Film' I definitely have to say I'll be giving that a miss too. There's rape scenes, and then there's... That. UGH! O_O;; That's not boundary pushing that's boundary obliterating.
I can't say I've got any good recs for you though atm. The amount of horror we've seen recently has been WOEFUL and we need to fix that! xD We did see Sharktopus recently though... EPICALLY TERRIBLE! xD

I'm not sure if I want to spoil it for you! ^_^;; xD But she's def not shot by the police, if that helps ;)
I CONCUR! I saw most of Triangle and it wasn't bad, we're going to watch it properly tonight (I was watching it at a night-before-wedding drinking+steak+working out make up for the bridal party evening) but I enjoyed that it made its OWN sense.
