im watching the House episode with the three leg patients and had a random musing. if i was told i needed my leg chopped off, i dont think i would freak out a whole lot. i mean aside from possible doctor screw up, but im just paranoid. i mean i suppose if i played sports i would be slightly more worried, but even then maybe not. people adapt to all

I would be upset because I love to walk. Sure, you can walk with a prosthetic, but not as quickly and comfortably as without. And, living where I do, I walk A LOT. It would mean a lot more cab & subway rides, which get expensive.

If I still lived in NH all the time, I'd probably be relatively okay with it though.
