So I just checked the site that published my cloth diaper essay that inspired the "This makes me sad" thread at smothering. The Parenting Club site allows comments and as you can imagine there are several. 31 to be exact. Many have that smothering flavor.

just the fact that you had to "confess" that you stopped using cloth lends one to believe that the cloth-diaper crew is (generally) a bit over-zealous.

shit, i cloth diaper during the day and use disposables at night. if cloth diaper= heaven bound and disposable=hell, am i going to limbo??? :)

I couldn't help but comment, too. Gah. ;-) That kind of crap is why I never go to Smothering anymore, for anything. I think I'll go remove myself from their email list, too. Self-righteous prickettes. (But I'm sorry I missed the Smothering brou-ha....)
