Windows 7 Beta... Damn...
Trying it for the helluvit on my spare machine and I've got to say: not bad. Installs quick with very few questions. Fits easily in an 8 gig partition. Boots fast by Windows standards. Quick and responsive. Windows snap open and closed lickety-split. Programs run without hitting the hard drive for half an hour. Task switches are smooth, not a lot ( Read more... ) -

Update on lost stuff.
Well, the moving truck reached its other destinations and our stuff didn't turn up so we've filed the insurance claim and begun replacing stuff. First things: J's Mixer and my Wii. Hopefully the insurance check will come before the credit card bill! 8 ( Read more... ) -

All moved. Now just unpacking to do. Lots of it.
Tons of good food within walking distance. 15 minute free train commute to work, and a 2 bedroom for less rent than what we were paying for one in VA.

Cool Program Shout-out
Synergy.
This program is a transparent "KVM switch". Basically you can use one keyboard/mouse on multiple machines you might have next to each other. You can set it to, say switch to machine B when you roll the mouse pointer off the left side of machine A. The pointer rolls onto the right side of machine B seamlessly! Pretty sweet.
