One Two ThreeBasics
¤ 1) Name Elisa (you can call me Beldarius, Beldi, Beldy, Bel, Raiden, Rai or Rai-Rai - I answer to them all)
¤ 2) Age 23 (older than Dino?!)
¤ 3) Country Finland
Personality
¤ 4) From a first impression, what kind of person do you appear to be? Calm and collected, the type to sit back and enjoy the show as crazy people are being... crazy. A walking encyclopedia with a tendency to go off on a tangent and ramble nonstop, explaining things to people. This is mostly online. In real life I tend to act like a loner who sits quietly in the corner doing nothing.
¤ 5) How does that differ from the person you are? The walking encyclopedia part is completely true - I do go off on a tangent often. In real life, however, I'm not so much a loner... I'm just shy. I hate talking to strangers, afraid that I might offend someone or make a fool of myself in public. Plus I like my peace and quiet - that's why I like to be alone. I also suck at being emotional - whenever someone is being really hyper and excited (like fangirls screaming at their idols), I end up thinking "That's so embarrassing, what idiots! D:". Emotionally, I'm an android. Because I'm afraid of making a fool of myself, I can't even take part in my school's plays OR sing in public. ...Then again, I'm constantly daydreaming (it's kind of a button that's always on) and have emotions in my imaginary world - it's just that they never show on the outside. For ex, my imagination is so vivid that I basically talk to and interact with characters in my head.
¤ 6) What kind of person do you want to become, then? A person who can talk to people and be fun and spontaneous, possibly even capable of acting and improvisation.
¤ 7) What, or who, is your inspiration in life? I don't actually have any inspiration - I just go with the flow, one day at a time, thinking about nothing. When I write (which I do a lot) I can get inspiration from anything, from one picture to a whole discussion.
¤ 8) What are your major strong points? I'm fairly intelligent (according to two online IQ tests, my IQ is 135) and I know a lot about several subjects - I also have an excellent memory (but I forget everyday things, like where I put my keys). Actually being unemotional makes me calm and stops me from stressing about things. I do have a sense of humor and I can laugh at just about anything (however, when I laugh, I tend to cover my mouth or do a quiet one). I also try my hardest not to offend anyone (can be a bad thing).
¤ 9) What are your major weak points? At times my emotionlessness can be a burden - for ex during funerals when other people are crying, I just end up sitting there feeling nothing. Awkward as hell, I tell ya. My sister died like four years ago - I felt completely indifferent. ._.;
I'm lazy and procrastinate all the time - being punctual is hard for me. My self-confidence is at zero, I always underestimate myself and my abilities. I give up really easily and have practically no patience for stuff that is hard or takes too long. I also have really sharp senses which is totally NOT a good thing - I get annoyed by the weirdest of noises (someone rustles paper behind me, I get pissed); I hate sunlight (makes my head hurt); I can smell stuff really well and end up feeling sick if somebody boils cauliflower; I can't wear tight clothes or certain materials (like wool). Go check out Asperger's syndrome on Google - that's what causes my problems with emotions and physical senses.
¤ 10) What makes you (^__^) =D? Talking with online friends, writing, imagining things (I have a really vivid imagination), watching anime and reading manga, fantasy literature, learning new things (I keep Googling and Wiki-ing new stuff constantly).
¤ 11) What makes you (¤>__<) >:(? ...Stupid people, politics and religion. I just can't handle idiots (and little kids that just scream and cry all the time. I like kids when they can hold a coherent discussion with me.). And politics and religion, um... I absolutely hate it when people discriminate others due to what they believe in. I'm an Atheist myself and seem to be kind of democratic, but I don't see myself telling people "You are a heretic because you believe in god! :0".
And... and I'm a grammar freak. I hate it when people use l33t talk, miss letters in their words / mix up letters and generally screw up their English. Walls of text with no punctuation give Beldi a nice little headache.
¤ 12) What makes you (;__;) ;(? I've never cried in public. In fact, I don't actually cry that often because feeling sad doesn't really work for me. Remember, android. When I do cry, it's usually thanks to something like the thought of my cat dying (I care more for her than my family). Sad scenes in anime/manga, literature or movies also cause me to cry - but it's not romantic-sad that causes it - it's more like this epic-sad, friendship-sad or... yeah, stuff like that.
¤ 13) What is your general mood? Kind of indifferent. I can sometimes get really happy, but sometimes I just feel like not doing anything (I've seen it called "anhedonia"). :/ I guess I'm generally rather positive.
Thoughts
¤ 14) Do you think taking a humans life can be justified? Sometimes. If it's a war situation, you need to kill to survive. Also, I'm all for euthanasia and abortion - if somebody is in extreme pain and suffers endlessly due to an incurable disease and wants euthanasia, then it's OK. "Mar Adentro" opened my eyes to this - people have the right to decide whether they want to live or die. NOBODY has the right to tell a quadriplegic who wants to die that he's supposed to live and suffer in a room, never to move again. That's like being treated like a caged animal instead of a human being.
¤ 15) What do you think of Love? I've never been in love so I don't really know... it would be nice to be loved, I think. But I might have problems due to that Asperger's syndrome thing - what if I can't feel or display love toward anyone? It's a bit scary to think about.
¤ 16) How do you view your life? It's ordinary, nothing really happens. I'd like it to be more exciting, with friends who'd live close and barge in on me and drag me to places like Dera and Yamamoto do to Tsuna. Otherwise I wouldn't even get out of the house.
¤ 17) Do you “live” in the past, present or future? Present is more like it. I don't usually think about past things (if I do, it's more likely to be an embarrassing childhood situation I want to forget) - and I never think about the future. I live one day at a time and take things in stride - I stress about nothing and have no plans. I just let stuff come and go.
Situations
¤ 18) Could you risk your life on a 15% chance of dying under unknown conditions if you would get really rich if you succeed? I don't care about money - I'm happy with what I have. So no, I would never try to get rich, be it a dangerous or safe situation (I don't even take part in lotteries because you never win anything, anyway).
¤ 19) There’s war. Some people fight for their lives, some try to flee the field, some protect their family, some hide, some nurse the sick, some organize people, some steal, some try to stop the fights… Where are you? None of these. I'd most probably help people gather food and water and then we'd barricade ourselves in a big building, and wait for winter. Then we'd just wait for the enemy to freeze their butts off. Though I guess guerilla warfare would be cool... I'm fairly silent so I could fit a group like that. (I tend to sneak up on my mom without intending it.)
¤ 20) If you had Mukuro's power to possess people, how would you use it? I'd possess Tsuna and Yamamoto and help them ace their tests. I'm fairly smart with an excellent memory. I know it's cheating, but wth.
¤ 21) A smiling, white-haired man comes to your house, eats all of your marshmallows, and says he needs your powers in the Mafia to overthrow other Mafias. (You’re getting nicely paid and free ice-cream for a year!) I don't care about money and I don't eat ice-cream (in fact, I hate sweet food)... but I guess I could help him if his Mafia was a nice mafia and the others were evil. If it was the other way around, I would pretend to join and then do the same allegiance switch Shoichi did.
¤ 22) You find a wallet on the street. It contains a lot of money, a drivers license, and two condoms. I'm taking it to the police station. I don't take other peoples' belongings. Ever.
¤ 23) Your house is burning. A lot. You have no idea where the other occupants of the house are. I would obviously call the fire brigade and then wait for them to arrive - if I found a garden hose, I'd try to douse all the flames I can. Plus I would call the other occupants to check if they're fine - and if they don't answer, then just wait for the worst and hope for the best.
Random
¤ 24) How do you eat your hotdogs? With my hands? XD OK, I like mine with ketchup, pickled cucumber and garlic.
¤ 25) What’s your theme song? "Elvenpath" by Nightwish. The lyrics really fit my daydreamy side.
¤ 26) Tell us a character from another fandom that you identify yourself with?
Hatori from Fruits Basket
Ukitake from Bleach
Osamu Sugo from Cyber Formula
Aquarius Camus from Saint Seiya
Spartacus from History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (he was the leader of the Pankration team during the D of D arc)
Virgil Walsh from Trinity Blood is exactly like me
¤ 27) Give us a picture of, or describe your room You can find three images of my room here:
