1. Name:
Stephanie (but don’t ever call me by it. Steph is acceptable)
2. Age:
Seventeen
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I always wanted to live in an apartment in Venice when I was younger. Over time though it’s changed quite a bit and now I wouldn’t leave England. It my birth home and I couldn’t be happier anywhere else. Even if the weather does suck!
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
It would be painted white. Just four pure white walls and plenty of paint tubs. Something I could just throw at the wall to my hearts content, leaving slashes of colour everywhere. In the corner I’d have a bunch of my favourite albums. The Stone Roses would be their for certain, played at full volume while I mess around.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?
I realise a lot of people will probably dislike me but in the books I really wouldn’t give the time of day to Neville Longbottom, seriously, maybe its because I’ve never really had patience with people who need to consider things before taking risks. I don’t understand how he can be so quite, if I was in his position I’d have probably grown up as a cold, hateful child with revenge in mind, that would put me to excel in my studies. Maybe I dislike him because I don’t understand him. He’s got one book to redeem himself.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full?
It’s half full, but if I hang around long enough I’ll have to wash it.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
“Over myself, over my own body and mind, I am sovereign” - My Law Teacher.
I adore this quotation; I’ve got it written across the front of my books in four different languages. It’s a constant reminder that despite what other people may think or say I alone make my own choices.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?
I don’t exactly get along with my family; I’m sort of the misunderstood teenager. But it’s not depressing; I’m going for the whole independent life thing here. My friends have always been more reliable I can talk to them about anything and not feel judged. That’s why their first.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory?
From the age of five to thirteen I saw my cousin once a year on Christmas day. Every year we’d pull the last cracker from the box together and keep a tally of who won each year engraved in the fence at the bottom of the garden. It was just the simplest thing but it’s one of my favourite times. I think the marks are still in the fence though we haven’t been back for years.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?
I don’t have patience. I always want things to be done when I need them doing, people who procrastinate just annoy me. I also have tendency to obsess over small things. Like the shampoo bottles in the shower have to be put back in height order. No one really understands why I do it since my room is a complete disaster but the smallest things are always in order. E.g. all my clothes will be in discarded piles on the floor but my c.d’s are in the correct cases and in alphabetical order.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?
Obviously. Who wouldn’t? but I doubt I’d actually put all my effort into it, I’d be more likely to use it as a social situation and pick up things to show others.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.
I’d shake. I’d complain, bitch about whoever had caused the situation and not let anyone forget about it for days to come. Then I’d talk my friend into a night out where I’d just drink and dance till I felt better about myself. I wouldn’t forget about it for a long time though.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?
Justice, ok so its not always right but if people search for justice they shouldn’t complain of lack of compassion when they finally get it. If we didn’t have justice the world would be in chaos. What about equal rights. That’s a form of justice. Take that away and you can bet people wouldn’t start complaining about compassion.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?
I’m a child at heart. My outer form is just a mature shell. Music is what I find my inner child in (just to sound slightly high).
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?
I don’t think I’d be in Hufflepuff; I’m probably not patient enough to be. Perhaps I’m not loyal enough to be a Gryffindor. I’d probably be torn between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. If sarcasm if the lowest for of wit then I’ll be the wittiest Ravenclaw of the lot. It would be my dislike of constant learning the would push me away from that house though. Yes I realise I’m indecisive.
